While I wasn’t overwhelmingly happy to see Sally as the Julep color in my CEW Prestige box from Birchbox, I gave it a go last night.

I found the formula really hard to work with and quite streaky. This was probably a sign.

Color is actually a nice neutral – billed as “antique ivory” but reads as pretty yellow on me. I even tried to liven things up with a coat of “Hilary” for an accent nail – a copper glitter from Julep – but it looked reminiscent of Dijon mustard instead.

To top it all off, it lasted all of 12 hours before chipping and peeling its way into oblivion:
